[He sighs there and shakes his head. Alright, good enough. But then, considering something... he's got something else he kinda wnts to gloat about but isn't sure if he should... and maybe he's obligated to tell some other people. [July 31st. Haruki Suzumiya turns eighteen today. Originally, he hadn't planned to do anything - after all, only a handful of people know: Shiki, probably Neku by extension, Usagi, Leon, probably Al, maybe Uriko if she remembers, some others. Oh and he told Winry. Point is he originally decided he wasn't going to make a big deal about it what with all that's been going on. Not to mention a full third of his Brigade gone.

But well, he could use a pick up. And other people probably need things to focus on, so today he rigged up something at Brigade HQ. As it's Saturday and the status of the Seventh Heaven isn't officially confirmed there's no meeting or lunch today, but outside the HQ is a sign that says-

"CHIEF OF THE SOS-BRIGADE'S EIGHTEENTH BIRTHDAY. COME IN FOR GIFT DEPOSIT AND WELL-WISHING"

And inside they'll find Haruki sitting in his chair with Sekai on the table next to him and him with his headband tied in the gayest way ever.

Of course this might not be the only way to do this so later in the day, once he's confident the fighting for the day will have ended-]

Many of you have been now seen the flier that my secretary produced, and as such there is no obligation to give us any introduction even for the ignorant, but in favor of those who might not be able to read, I shall generously provide one anyway-

We, the Spreading Excitement All Over the World with Haruki Suzumiya Brigade come to you with a simple but eloquent purpose! Namely, the SOS-Brigade is looking into the mysteries of this world! People who have experienced something mysterious in the past, have experienced something mysterious recently, or who plan on a mysterious experience in the near future should come to the SOS Brigade for them be solved! [Haruki is perterbed. Today, after all, there wasn't a Hanyuu at the daily meeting. In fact this isn't terribly uncommon: she's missed a few of them since Rika poofed. But today somehow felt different. Thus, after he called it quits and had everyone file out he came on back to HQ in the evening, alone. Once there, he discovered (a per this) a collection of Hanyuu's punishment game work stuffed into one of the shelves on the bookshelf.

...Well that's weird.

What's more, there's notes and- This is-] What- [... he reads it again and then again and then finally crumples all of the notes into one big wad of paper and throws it across the room] Stop screwing with me. You're kidding. What the- What the hell is this crap! [And at that he punches the bookshelf. When he does it rocks against the wall before a couple of things on some of the highest shelves fall off. But after that he doesn't pick them up, he just looks down at the table to see that his journal is open and-

[Haruki is out for a walk around town today. This onto itself is not that strange, of course. But he is walking in tow with his son pet chicken Sekai. Sekai, for those of you who don't see my tons of linked photos looks something like this with about this on his head. He's about the same size as or possibly a little bit larger than an average chicken by now. He's keeping pace with Haruki but almost looking around animatedly at the village. He was born and raised into winter in Luceti, so this is his first spring. It's so green!

And what's more, Haruki is talking to the bird a little]

It's too bad you slept through the Hanami. It was awesome, one of the best Brigade pull-offs yet. [He nods sagely there to which Sekai chirps a little and nods before he pipes in with a question of his own:] A good pull-off!

[To be honest... Haruki still isn't 100% better. He's still not cool with Rena yet, not to mention anyone he happened to piss off when he was sulking. But there's stuff to be done; it's Christmas after all. And thus, he coughs before starting this awkwardly with-]

You know, plenty of you folks lack dates for Christmas, don't you? Huh... Well, whatever.

[A pause, and then he continues without abandon to the next part-] Christmas is a vasly inferior holiday to the likes of Tanabata or even Obon, but so long as there is something to celebrate, we might as well roll with it, right?! I mean, I never knew the Christian story behind it in detail, but that makes it so much more interesting. A mystery, even! How could those guys all see starts to lead them to a baby? [A little less than half of his Brigade opted to try to go home last week. About the same amount are missing due to kidnappings or whatever. Neku is missing from his house. All Passions is out, he doesn't want to deal with Shiki or Rosalie or anyone else that lurks around there like like Minato. The roof is out because it's too damned cold. His room is out because Rena is probably still lurking around the house. Good Spirits is out because damned if he wants to listen to Guy right now. Thus, where does he go?

A place where he's sure people have better things to do than to talk to him and where the only employ he knows is slightly less than a real person. Haruki is sitting in the far corner of Seventh Heaven. He's not even at a table, really, just up against one of the walls. As he's thinking about his old Brigaders, he's looking at "pictures" he had taken of them using the journal back when they were here. And then he flips to...

He's reminded of the situation with Kyon and Mikuru somehow, so he sets the pile down, scoffing to himself. It's then that he flips open his journal and pens the written part up below. After that, he flips to the back of the journal and takes out an entirely different set of "photos" - a small handful of Kyonko. It's been too long-]

So who thinks the Malnosso/Organization have been getting stupidly uninspired lately?! I mean, really, a lot of the more recent experiments have been John's doing or that invasion or other stuff like that. I mean the last experiments where that suggestion thing in later July, that body swap in later September, and the last one before that was all the way back in June, which... [...Which he has a horrible memory during, so he falls silent before sighing. He regains his mojo quickly though]

But still! Hypnosis? Body swap?! What is this, a children's show?! I mean those are so generic and cliche! In the past we got stuff like say people going crazy or... well the point is the Organization are a bunch of ignorant rat-bastards! I mean come on, I could be a better evil overlord than that. Like say... like say an experiment where the village disappears! Everyone wakes up naked in a large plot of land and we need to fend for ourselves for a week! You know, that egg project was pretty stupid. I mean, I guess it was okay and all but who really wants to have a kid here? I mean- [...A grunt, and then he pauses before switching this thing off. The post pauses for a time because he's going to the kitchen. It'll come back on with him chopping up something to make for dinner today. This irksome, because he seems to be staring on the counter-]

I mean, what do we even do with the eggs now? Sekai's just an egg, right? Not like she can be... [Hnn. He grunts there, and then shuts the journal again. This is stupid. He doesn't even want to make an entry like this. The post then is silent for about twenty minutes before it cuts in again, this time with him looking straight into the journal-]

God powers strike again. Haruki's egg Sekai (which he took home anyway despite the project being over) has hatched. This, however, is because it was always fertile, merely no one was aware of it until just now. Everyone merely assumed it didn't have a chick in there because all the others didn't.
