[Action]

[On the draft list there are people he knows... Caesar, Squalo, Haseo, Usopp, Stella, Litchi, and Raenef come to mind, among others. People he generally respects... Batman, Katara, Okita, Raine, Yao, Buffy, and Sonic, again among others. Even people he generally likes... Sokka, Mitsuru, Rosalie, and Shirley.

But to top it all off there are five precious people on there. Five members of his SOS-Brigade. Leon, who keeps coming back to him. Uriko, who he still feels so guilty for. Vash, a loyal new recruit who follows him despite being an adult. Mammon, loyal in spite of her shadiness. And, God forbid, Usagi. After two failed commucations earlier today, he doesn't know what to think.

There's still so much to do - to confirm the teleporters are in place, that Naoki is still apparently lost, the hot springs and a bath house, Sanji's contest for the Seventh Heaven - but all these things die shallowly in his mind the moment he tries to think about them, replaced instead with a deep-seated dread and fear he's trying to play off as anger... even though it's not working.

Instead of any of those things he feels he almost ought to be doing, he's doing something to, of all things, remind him of his father. Not that he thinks his father would have some valid insight at the moment - no, he doesn't have that level of faith - but something he hopes would... normalize things. Because for once, he almost wants to go back to the boring Nishinomiya. It has to be better than this, a world in which he failed and his friends go off to war.

So tonight, later into the night, off behind the Brigade HQ he's got a large basket of baseballs that he's tossing up in front of himself and then batting away with a bat. Despite the impracticality of this, he's generally still able to hit them a very impressive distance, albeit in awkward directions. Maybe this would be better with a buddy. He doesn't care right now though.

Do come talk to him if you dare]

So we're about done with all this murder stuff, right? Jeez, what's the point of this sort of thing if it's not a mystery anyway? Whatever, the point is it's about time this whole business got resolved. [...Sigh. This isn't what he wants to talk about at all. He awkwardly shifts a while-]

This amount of rain is boring too. Didn't we get enough of this sort of thing during the snow in the winter? [Grunt] Whatever, at least we have interior heating and such now it's no longer frigid. [Siiigh and the sound of him standing an taking his journal with him]

It's the start of the new feather cycle, right? Or well, we're getting into it. Alright! For those of you are are intent on living under a rock while you're here, it's about time that you know that I, Haruki Suzumiya, am the overlord of the SOS-Brigade, the greatest club in existence. More details will be sure to come to you in the coming days! Await that with baited breath! [Alright, that's good for now. Excuse him, he's going back to dicking around on his laptop he got from Catherine. The voice cuts off as he starts to work with the keys.]

[To be honest... Haruki still isn't 100% better. He's still not cool with Rena yet, not to mention anyone he happened to piss off when he was sulking. But there's stuff to be done; it's Christmas after all. And thus, he coughs before starting this awkwardly with-]

You know, plenty of you folks lack dates for Christmas, don't you? Huh... Well, whatever.

[A pause, and then he continues without abandon to the next part-] Christmas is a vasly inferior holiday to the likes of Tanabata or even Obon, but so long as there is something to celebrate, we might as well roll with it, right?! I mean, I never knew the Christian story behind it in detail, but that makes it so much more interesting. A mystery, even! How could those guys all see starts to lead them to a baby? A virgin that got knocked up? Makes me wish that someone from that time had showed up here at some point... [...A pause, annd then a sigh-] Well, whatever.

More importantly... getting ready for New Years after that. And anything the Organization or John does by way of a "celebration" for Christmas. You guys ever noticed they like American holidays?

[Voiced // Filtered to SOS-Brigade]

Alright SOS-Brigade! This Christmas we're going with something special and more awesome than anything ever seen for any Christmas since the birth of that Jesus guy! We're going to be forming a superior crack-team of super sentai Santas! We're going to be the SOS-S3! And with out might, we're going to spread holiday cheer and more importantly needed positive sentiment around the village.

Our mission will be to provide gifts to people, assist people who look like losers, and set people up on blind-dates. Your first objective will be met by the 20th of December. You will recruit as many people as you can to sign up for a mass blind date. A free gift! What's more, you will do this dressed as a SOS-S3-Santa suit which will be supplied for you in the next three days.

Whoever amasses the most names will be the victor of round one of this competition! Whoever wins the best two out of three rounds will be the Brigade Chief for the week following the first of January! Your roles will be as follows:

assigned roles )
Are your orders understood, my SOS-S3?!

Now, Elf Support! You will be given the labor of amassing as many potential gifts as you can. You will be hording them in the back room of the SOS-Brigade HQ. Vice-Chief Rena will be given a temporary promotion to Elf Commander Rena, and she will be in charge of this gift hording! You will raid the bazaars, you will make new gifts, and you will even steal if you have to, but I expect that back room filled to brim by the time you get further orders!

Are we clear?!

[Voiced // Filtered to Shiki]

Shiki, I got an important job for you.

[Also, relationship post which I don't think I forgot anyone on but it's possible I did. Yerp. Comment if I did. ASIDE FROM THIS someone did offer to join the SOS-Brigade but the thread is still ongoing. If they end up getting recruited I'll be editing them into this post, and feel free to assume they had always been in this post. So... yeah...]

[FOR A NOTE: All of this post relates to THIS entry here. It's time to get the play off the ground. Fu fu fu- Anyway I'm thinking a mass action post would be good for this on Sunday. Any thoughts, anyone? Objections, questions, etc?]

[Voiced]

Alright! Holiday's over, Halloween's over, and we're done with all all that stuff! SOS-Brigade, Luceti, it's time for something important! We're not letting the gusto we've had this last week die down; far from it! The celebration's just getting started!

Listen up, Luceti! It's time for the SOS-Brigade to pave it's name in infamy to future generations across all myriads of worlds! We're going to shake you all to the core! We're going to wow you, dazzle you, and make your weep tears of sorrow and joy within five minutes of each other!

Coming forward at the speed of light and with the strength of an immortal thunderbolt is the SOS-Brigade's presentation of A Journey To the West!

Without any further delays, it will be happening this Sunday! There will be only two showings too, so plan your dates now!

Not cut ICly, demands for people )

[...A pause, and then he thinks back. He thinks back and then with a much lighter tone-]

Rena, Shiki. We're having a house meeting in the living room. Neku, you're optional.

[..He grumbles there and then, evenly as he considers the meetings since the end of Halloween-]

And oi, where the hell is Shion? And why isn't the Seventh Heaven open yet?! Jeez...

ALRIGHT LUCETI! The contest results are in; all the judges votes are counted and the popular vote tallies are in! Thus, we have two winners in each bracket!

Judge's results )

Oi, SOS-Brigade. What the hell're you doing losing like that? Al! You're going to have a harsh penalty! You too, Shion! Jeez. You were supposed to win this whole thing! I expected better from you people.

As such, the winners of the Judge's scores and therefore the titles of Miss and "Miss" Luceti go to Hayato Gokudera and Stella Coolidge! Congrats! You guys will be getting one free favor each from the SOS-Brigade as well as a box of cupcakes! The runners up (Aerith and Tifa in the Miss bracket; Emil and Faize in the "Miss" bracket) will get a consolation prize: one cupcake each.

Now, as to the popular vote our two winners are unsurprisingly Emil Castagnier and surprisingly Patchouli Knowledge! You guys win the fabulous prize of one date run by and sponsored by the SOS-Brigade!

...Dammit, Tai. That's- Oi. Anyone seen Shiki around?

[For the record Shiki has officially been Sho-napped as of last night. No one should be aware of this yet so you won't have seen her]
