Many of you have been now seen the flier that my secretary produced, and as such there is no obligation to give us any introduction even for the ignorant, but in favor of those who might not be able to read, I shall generously provide one anyway-

We, the Spreading Excitement All Over the World with Haruki Suzumiya Brigade come to you with a simple but eloquent purpose! Namely, the SOS-Brigade is looking into the mysteries of this world! People who have experienced something mysterious in the past, have experienced something mysterious recently, or who plan on a mysterious experience in the near future should come to the SOS Brigade for them be solved! This offer stands open to any of you! It is impossible to miss out HQ in the square of town, so step forward there if you have such a mystery for us to look into! After all, such a think is necessary in order to ensure that people live a worthwhile life.

Besides this, after seeing out operations I'm sure that many of you are eager to join up, right?! Well, those of you are are, please step forward now! This includes any that saw the fliers, any who desire a greater point in existence, and you too Garnet! Speak up!

[SIDEBAR: If you character is expressing interest in joining the Brigade I have given certain characters free reign to come in and "question" them about their goals in relation to the Brigade and such, so there might be some threadjack by those ones. I suppose not, unless Shion shows up again here. And it would depend on which Shion it is, if she was one on good terms with Satoko I think it would be safe.

What do you know about Rena exactly? Family situation and such.

Basically nothing.

Did you know she has been having outbreaks of the syndrome since long ago?

Yeah, Rika's said something to that effect before. But with you guys, that's not uncommon, ainnit?

I'll let you know that I haven't had any outbreaks, except in previous cycles. And remembering them, or the important parts, helps me keep my mind clear, at least so far.

Anyway, Rena is one of the people in Hinamizawa in critical condition, and the only one who doesn't really need the medication to get back her senses. The other two that I know were Shion and Satoko.

[I can't remember even a bit of a world in which Mion had an outbreak... Well, there are some but I think that was actually Shion feigning being Mion.]

Uh, I think I would be more worried if Satoko was the one here. Without the medication she is just... Unable to be saved. But then again Satoko is the passive type, Rena, Shion and me, however...

It's ironic how much good it does to have flashes of horrible events when you're on the verge to make a wrong decision. It's a good slap of cold water in the face.

[I won't say I'm entirely stable thought. I'm the first one that knows that, but I also know my triggers and they are hard to be pulled here. At least in theory.]

Uh? No, no. Shion's sizes can't be that. I'm pretty sure she has the same sizes as Mion and hers were [*insert Mion's exact three sizes here*]. They could swap places easily, I would have noticed if Mion suddenly had more or less breasts.

[That sounded more perverted than it should. But it would have been easy to notice even if I didn't pay attention...]

Really? I think the breasts would have been slightly larger, at least. Wonder if it's just the sense of style; Shion was a formidable adversary after all. Even if she did ruin the Brigade's plans in relation to taking that beauty contest by storm. Cheating and putting on a work uniform to pass off as cosplay...

[Keiichi laughs at that.]

What? She wore the Angel Mort uniform and called it cosplay? Ahahaha, that's just so Shion! Mion was quite a cheater too sometimes, I think it runs in the family.

And knowing her maybe she put something to make them look bigger, or it was just an optical effect of the uniform or something.

[After all if I think of back then, when Shion was just in that yukata with nothing under it and she was on top of me like that I'm pretty sure they weren't as big as they seemed before. And Mion in underwear didn't look that bi-....

Do you think people here know about baseball?]

Of course they know about baseball, idiot. I used to know someone who compared everything to a game of baseball. [A beat and then he snorts-]

Yes. And what's worse she was stupid enough to do that when Rika was one of the judges. Naturally, Rika gave her a failing grade, forcing me to penalize Shion. But even so, that sort of thing isn't acceptable when it comes to a competition! If you're going to cheat, it should be such that no one can notice it!

Have there ever been a baseball game? If people know about it and such it could be fun.

[He laughs again.]

Well, in Shion's defense I'll say that she's not really a regular of the club. So cheating may not be as easy for her as it was for Mion or the others. It could have passed if it was Rika or Rena with the uniform thought.

What penalization did you gave her?

Not that I remember. There's been some soccer though.

[...Snort] That's beside the point; she was a member of my Brigade at the time. Even without proper training I expect the best out of the members of my club! And as for the penalty; that's obvious, isn't it? If that outfit is so suited to her then she needed to wear it all say for the rest of the week.

I suppose soccer is good too. I prefer baseball thought, I hope there's something like that around here one day.

[Man, hearing him talk about the Brigade that way feels familiar.]

Whatever, I still had to defend her a bit. [But yeah, she should have been able to pull out something better than that. Will all she has done and all she was capable of doing that feels a bit too low for her standards.]

That penalty? But Chief, she was used to wear it like half the day every weekday, even Sundays. More if there was an event. I think it would have hurt her more to have to not wear it or any cute clothes. Meh, I suppose it worked since you thought it.

She doesn't work here. The point is that she would need to wear that to school and such! Right, right though, dignity before practicality among Hinamizawans.

Unlike last time, we even have enough to fill up a Brigade-only team!

What, you didn't have enough people the first time you did a baseball game? How is that possible?

[Between the fact that he drags people into the Brigade and the Brigade itself is quite good it should be overflowing with people... Then again maybe he's just selective, like Mion was. Our club was never over seven.]

It would be awesome to play against Isao Harimoto, thought. It's a pity we can't get to get him here for a game, or other stars. Imagine the Brigade beating a team made by the greatest stars in baseball, Japanese and from anywhere else. Way to show that the Brigade rules, don't you think?

[He snorts either way] The Brigade is always selective, of course. You can't just let anyone into your arms when you're crafting an efficient unit.
