Forty-Eighth Explosion
[Voiced]
...Y'know, there's been a lot of kidnappings lately, hasn't there? I mean there's been bigger drop-offs before and such, but in the last week or two there's been a lot. Thing is, I mean I hadn't been here all that long last summer but I seem to remember something similar happening last summer. I don't think we had a calender though so I'm not sure if it's the exact same time or anything.
...Whatever. Stupid aliens.
[Pause, grunt, and then some clothes rustling] Doesn't look like rain today.... Oi! Rena! Shiki! Porcupine! Any and all members of the SOS-Brigade! Summer's no good if you don't enjoy it properly, so in the absence of a public pool we're going swimming at the main lake! [Another pause, and then a sigh] When it warms up or something. It's still muddy-looking outside.
...Jeez. [And then there's the sound of some clothes rustling again before he stands up and clicks this thing off]

[Pause, and then he's going to go over to the table and take a "book" off it. A book that seems to be made of metals and plastics more than paper and now he opens it to reveal some computer screens]
Oi, Guide! Moe!
[...Pause, and then it gives off the words:] NO SUCH ENTRY
[...He grunts, and now he's going to start writing things in there with his thumb]

Oi! Moe! [And then in a voice which belongs on the BBC (so it's boring and flat and British):] MOE IS POPULARLY CONSIDERED TO BE A COMPONENT WHICH IS VITAL TO ALL LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE, PARTICULARLY THAT OF PEOPLES WHO FORM GROUPS. IT IS A COMPLEX TERM WHICH CANNOT BE DEFINED PROPERLY WITH WORDS.
[And now he's going to nod sagely, satisfied]

Oi, Guide, Earth!
[And then in that voice, again:] EARTH; MOSTLY HARMLESS

[BBC VOICE AGAIN:] MR. MEW IS A STRANGE ALIEN NON-BIOLOGICAL LIFE-FORM THAT IS MOST LIKELY RELATED TO A CAT. IT MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE A LIFE OF ITS OWN
