That weather was really strange. Clearly, the Malnosso... or whatever it is these aliens call themselves -- 'Malnosso' sounds like a Spainish word or something... -- have control over the weather, and decided to make for a really weird set of days. Though the sound of that kid was--

Ahiru, we need to run over some plans, I especially need you to report! Rena wants to request something, and we need to set up this festival thing while the weather's good to set it up! Delays will no longer be tolerated! And geez, Kyonko, where'd you run off to now?

He was messing around outside then, and by the time he got this she had the fire thing going, so he never handed it off. But he's got no reason to keep this thing laying around, so yeah.
