Hey, I think it was Sheena and Excel! I owe both of you some favor, so make note of that! I'll repay that dept to Sheena, but in your case, Excel, you get one free-pass from a penalty. I'll make a pass, and if you stop by you both can pick those up.

I'm currently saying at the clinic for recovery of wounds from my stay with the aliens! Anyway... All members of the SOS-Brigade, you're hereby required to bring a get-well gift to me, like Kyonko said. Failure to do so will result in a penalty. Naturally, we'll be delaying the retreat a bit until I've recovered.

Rena! Bring a board game over here or something. I'm so bored.

Bunny, don't you work here or something?! Sheesh, shouldn't you come check in on me? I need to talk to someone other than her

[Haruki would shake his head no... if moving his neck wasn't a bit awkward. His head and his right hand are the only things bandaged, but both of them are quite literally covered in bandages sans for his mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. He waves with this left hand over to a chair nearest a bedside table though. Kyonko's out at the moment, but there is evidence that she's been hanging around here too]

[Haruki is nothing if not pragmatic. He can open that with his left hand alone, even if it requires a little effort -- he's training to be ambidextrous. When he opens it he would smirk or give a dopey grin, but his jaw is part of what's shot, so he nods and gives a thumbs-up with this left hand. He could slurr out a thanks, but this is a expected of Rena as a member, so she doesn't get a thanks]

I brought games like you asked. I wasn't sure which one you would like but... How about this one?

[At this point he's game for anything, so slurred-like he'll reply vocally...] Yeah, sounds good [But the gift, he'll move that to his right side via his left hand, and just let it rest between his arm and his chest]

[Within 20 minutes, Usagi appears at the doorway of his clinic room in her sailor uniform with pink wand of awesome in hand.] Ha~ru~ki~ Here to heal!

[Usagi winces at how Haruki looks. Definitely damaged. How does the guy keep up the attitude? She'd never understand it. She quickly heads over to the chair and sits down.]

You look ... well.

[His voice is heavily slurred as he answers] My left hand works well, at least.

[She blinks ... slowly] Are you on meds?

I think a few painkillers, but mostly it's that it's hard to move my jaw.

Oh. What ... happened to your jaw? TMJ?

[Haruki makes something almost like a sigh here, and then he pauses and admits 'cus she's a doctor and all] I think the Malnosso drilled into my skull. I probably dislodged the jaw in my initial struggle. I think the fractures are from that.

[She seems shocked for a second before she nods.] I see. You'll probably have complications even after you heal, you know that right?

Place like this I figure that the bones won't heal right, yeah. [He makes some grunting sound and then...] I also think I broke most of my good hand trying to punch'em.

[She pinches the bridge of her nose and shakes her head.] Punching them wasn't smart. Doing anything that even resembles struggling is a bad idea. Of course, We all learn that the hard way.

[She grips at her wand.] You want me to try healing, now?

I'm not going to let some damn aliens disect my brain without hitting them. Maybe my kidney, but I need my brain. [He grunts there and mutters one more thing before giving a thumbs-up] Don't tell Kyonko.

[She smiles at him. He's got guts, that's for sure, and she might just admire that.] You got it.

[Usagi's quick to heal him, spinning the pink wand in her hand professionally. She mutters something under her breath as the crystal flickers with white, warm light. It's only a second later before Haruki is bathed in the light. Moments later, she's done.]

[That numbs his skull at bit and re-aligns his jaw a little, but he's got a massive-ass migrane still and his right hand still is very much broken. He nods his thanks though -- his neck feels a little stronger now, and then coughs. His voice is less slurred now, but there's still a hint of something not right...

Perhaps minor brain damage.

At least he can give that stupidly big grin now] You know something like that makes you look like some Sentai here or something.

[Usagi nods her head slightly.] I guess. We always preferred Senshi, though.

Yeah, that sounds better. [He laughs a little here, and then his eyes focus back on her] You're going to have to tell that story sometime, of course.

Of course. [She smiles gently at him before getting up.] Well, I probably need to go start on your gift.

Right, you should do that.

'kay, so I've been wonderin' for a while, what aliens are ya talkin' 'bout? ~~'Cause if you're talkin' about me livin' in space, we gotta problem.~~

Wait -- you're from space?! That's awesome.

But we're all abducted by them, right? It's cooler to think of them as aliens than by some word that sorta sounds Spainish.

Gah, should have scribbled on that more. Yeah, I hadn't even set foot on Earth 'til 'bout a year ago. Never saw any aliens on the moon and didn't hear anythin' 'bout 'em being on Mars or any other planets we probbed and stuff.

*pauses for a while and thinks about that* Ya know, think ya gotta good point there. They are actin' like aliens and crap and that is more fun!

Well obviously, they're aliens. They won't just come out and say 'hey' or something, you have to look for them! I should know... sheesh. But seriously, does that mean you grew up one some space colony orbiting Earth or something?! 'Cus that's amazing. Is it owned by some nation, or is it independent, or what?

Exactly! They're just like some mean-spirited martians or something!

Still shoulda found some trace or somethin'. And you're really good at guessin'. We got several colony clusters floatin' around the Earth. I'm from one a 'em. And the politics of the Colonies and Earth is a pain in the ass. We started out as bein' from certain nations, America for me, but we got screwed politically, war for freedom, blah blah, some other guys want control, more fightin'. Ya get the idea.

Well they could be from outside the solar system or something. I mean there's a lot of stars all over the place.

Ugh, yeah, that political thing sounds like a nightmare. But Earth still has people on it, then? It's not some polluted wasteland or something?

*chuckles* Ya really are a believer. Well, I can't say there's not somethin' out there. Be kinda silly considerin' how people here'll tell me I can't be from space. Hell, some of 'em aren't even sure there is space. So I shall bow ta you and say ya might be right. I've seen weirder shit here after all.

Oh yeah, they still got people. Nothin' wrong with it 'cept it's not big enough. Thought it was pretty when I was there. Liked the ocean and stuff.

Do any of the colonies have something like a simulated ocean or something? I mean the Earth can be quite pretty, but an ocean floating in space just sounds really cool.

*chuckling* Yeah that does sound like a cool idea! I was from the poorest colony though. Didn't have anythin' like that. Damn that woulda been sweet.

The colony was, but that's after a couple hundred years and some serious warring. That's enough ta ruin anyone. 'Sides, once a place starts goin' ta hell, those who can leave do so there goes the money and then things get worse.
