That said, her genuine sweetness - and perhaps more importantly her moe - have made him not entirely disregard her.

That's really the crux of any problem he has with the redhead. He's annoying? He can handle that. He's lazy? Oh he can most certainly handle that too. It's the fact that he is so associated with war that Haruki has such a hard time accepting. If not for the fact that he knew that his Brigade member's - his friend's - lives might some day be in the hands of Caesar he might be more willing to force him to do things. If not for the fact that everything is serious in his head about Caesar he might be more willing to associate. This is, however, not to say that he refuses to talk with Caesar; far from it. Merely that he finds it very hard to like him.
Over-Emotional Young Sister	Avatar: The Last Airbender: markofthebrave ■■■■■■□□□□ ( ••• / ♥♥ / ◊◊ ) [Real; Mundane (Bending accepted as a reality)] Haruki frankly didn't expect to like Katara as much as he has ended up liking her. Yes, she is Sokka's brother and yes she is over-emotional and therefore annoying, but at the same time she's been willing to help him out and when he catches her in a good mood she is fun to be around. He might not be totally cool with everything she says or all her opinions, but he is glad to have met her. If nothing else, her tips on how to use Eferin's power was a welcome suggestion; he might not have liked it but in terms of practicality it was something that he probably needed to hear. It's hard to know quite what to make of a girl who one minute will help him break into somewhere and the next minute will tell him off for something and then after that will try to protect him and the next minute he feels the need to try to protect her, as he thought he was doing with the Avatar Sokka incident. She's a roller coaster of emotions which he isn't always prepared to ride, really.

Poké-weirdo #1	Pokémon Special: mischiefbreeder ■■■□□□□□□□ ( • / / ◊◊ ) [Real; Mundane (Pokémon accepted as a reality)] Gold is an anomaly. He's not a pressing one, because Haruki doesn't really care about the mystery surrounding the boy overly much, but he is still perplexing in that despite being from a Pokémon-based world the events that he has described don't ring any bells with him. That level of unpredictability would drive him to look into things with Gold more if not for the fact that he finds the kid mildly annoying enough that various other issues become more important on his to-do list every time he thinks to investigate. Someday, he might get to know the guy better but for now... not really. Gold being the one that made him first realize the Closed Space was potentially dangerous certainly didn't help this either.
Sappy Shounen Hero	Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories: vulcanblazer ■■■■■■□□□□ ( ••• / / ◊◊◊ ) [Real; Mundane (The Netherworld accepted as a reality)] Adell. Oh, Adell. Despite the fact that Adell is basically the anti-Haruki and therefore in some ways a blow to his standards, Adell it not someone Haruki sees a threat. He couldn't even determine the sizes of a girl like Chikane, and what's more despite being brave and loyal and amazing... he's also an idiot. Despite being an idiot and a hero, he's not arrogant, and if anything he's extremely nice. He's a shounen hero to the core and because of that Haruki can't take him as seriously as he did say Senel in the past. He's confident that he picked him right in choosing a user for Luka and he does truly respect how Adell as as well as what he does, but that does not mean that he likes any of those things. Truthfully speaking, even if he does like Adell the fact that he's such a sap is unendingly annoying to Haruki, who can't be honest with himself at all.
