Forty-Seventh Explosion

[Written // Private // 75% Unhackable]

...Love really sucks, doesn't it? It's still a total waste of time and it makes no sense and it hurts and this is stupid. Jeez. This place sucks even more though. I've only been here a year and I might as well have aged six. ...This sucks. This really sucks.

[Voiced]

Oi! Luceti! Did you all enjoy Tenabata?! Expect you wishes to come true in sixteen or twenty-five years! After all, Altair and Vega are respectively twenty-five and sixteen life-years from Earth, and seeing as how it's an Earth holiday even if the stars are different here I'm sure the message'll beam in the same amount of them. And that's according to the theory of relativity! I'm sure Orihime and Hikoboshi can ignore that stuff. I mean they're gods, right? It's like a two for one deal! 'Sides, no rain at all. I'm sure they had a nice romantic night back then.

[...He pauses here. He seems to consider saying more, and then makes a malcontent sigh] Yeah. A really good night for them, I'm sure they'll listen. Walter, Rika, Shiki, Angel, all you guys, I'm sure it'll come true. Maybe Altair's even closer here. [And then he grunts and shuts the journal]

[Action // For Neku in particular]

[It is about midnight. House #10 is supposed to be all peaceful and quiet now, right? WELL NOT SO. Haruki Suzumiya is quite awake and he's got a mission in mind. A mission that prompts him to knock on Neku's door at this ungodly hour. If he doesn't answer he'll just open it on up too]

[Your ignorance annoys him, but not enough to yell something.]

Sixteen or twenty-five years aren't going to make a difference for some things.

Twenty-five years was enough to for my country to forgive and get on good terms with a country that we attacked and were at war with for five years and they dropped two bombs that killed like 200,000 of our citizens, maybe more if you take into account people that died from radiation or starvation or whatever.

[He's silent on the other end. Well, that's all fine and good for you and your country...]

Like I said, the time isn't going to make a difference for some things.

If you don't work for it it sure won't, yeah.

And what about the dead? You think sixteen to twenty-five years of waiting is going to do them any good?

[...That's awkward. He's going to make a distinct pause, and then, after that in a voice which is distant because he can't handle all this heavy shit]

...Yeah. Someone who's dead is going to be looking after their family or loved ones they left behind. Sixteen or twenty-five years is enough time to make things better for those people.

[All your light and happy stuff disappeared a loooong time ago, Haruki. You're just fueled by ... well, what's left.]

...Hn.

[That's actually something attune to what he was thinking. Which could be a good thing.]

Indeed.
